Course Description

This course is an introduction to discipleship and counseling. It lays the groundwork for what counseling is, what the proper motivation for counseling is, and how the Bible would guide us in thinking about counseling. The course emphasizes that every Christian is called to be involved in the counseling process, that counseling does not need to be a formalized or professionalized field, and that counseling within the church is basically the same thing as discipleship. Each session is designed to help you think through these important concepts and apply them to your life and ministry.

  2. In that struggle, what were you identifying as the solution to that problem?
  3. How would buying into the biblical story transform the way you viewed that problem?
